Marketplace

A marketplace is a digital platform that brings together the offerings of multiple e-commerce sellers in one place. It lets consumers compare, buy and receive products or services from different merchants, while centralising transactions, logistics and often customer service.

Marketplaces give sellers greater visibility and access to a wider customer base, without requiring heavy infrastructure investment. For buyers, they simplify search and purchasing by offering a wide variety of products, competitive prices and services such as customer reviews or grouped deliveries.

For brands, integrating a marketplace requires optimised product data management. A PIM (Product Information Management) system then becomes a key tool for centralising, enriching and distributing product information consistently, in line with each platform's requirements. This ensures a smooth customer experience and maximises sales opportunities.
