As January draws to a close, daily life is getting back into its usual rhythm. The start of the year is a busy time for everyone, with people returning to the office after the festive season, setting goals for the year ahead and making personal resolutions! At Quable, rather than making resolutions, we’ve taken stock of what happened in 2018. And all we can say is that we’re proud of how far we’ve come! Here’s a look back at the highlights of our year in 2018.
Business is great business
Starting a business is a wonderful adventure. But it still needs to stand the test of time! 2017 was the year of scalability. In 2018, Quable further strengthened its market presence, thanks in particular to a new €2.5 million funding round and 32 new brands that started using our PIM (Product Information Management) solution. We also welcomed 11 new solution partners and 18 new recruits during the year.
It’s fair to say our teams have been hard at work to achieve these successes: they attended seven B2B events (trade fairs, conferences, workshops, etc.) and three business tours, from the United States to Italy via Spain, which generated 22 press mentions. And this is just the beginning.
But beyond the business figures, which speak for themselves, it’s also satisfying to see that our model works and that our tool is winning over market players!
An increasingly mature product
Our PIM is a bit like our pride and joy. We pamper it, we almost worship it, but the cinematic metaphor ends there, as we share our PIM with numerous users who enable us to keep developing it.
In 2018, the Product team released two major new versions of the PIM, six major production releases and 19 minor production releases. The roadmap has therefore been a busy one, and we fully intend to keep it that way, because a product that evolves is a product that improves!
These developments have enabled numerous UX optimisations, the creation of better connectivity, and enhanced security and performance. Every new release is a challenge we rise to, driven by our desire to deliver ever more value to our customers through a simple, high-performing and reliable tool.
A cherished team
What would Quable be without its team? In 2018, we redoubled our efforts to provide our teams with a pleasant working environment, innovative services and a unique atmosphere.
It all began with the recruitment of our Happiness Manager, Caroline, just a year ago. New partnerships have been forged to make our staff’s day-to-day lives easier and more enjoyable:
- Delicorner, ‘the workplace happiness dispenser’, which delivers snacks and fruit to us;
- Lunchr, which has replaced old-school meal vouchers with a very handy Mastercard;
- Payfit, which allows our staff to access their payslips and manage their holiday entitlement;
- A new health insurance scheme fully funded by Quable.
As for social events, we’ve had the chance to organise a barbecue in our garden to bring together clients and partners, two team seminars to take stock of things together in a relaxed setting, and around a hundred lively after-work get-togethers and dinners. That’s fun and a friendly atmosphere on average one evening in every three throughout the year!
Finally, our teams have moved into new premises right in the heart of the Sainte Marthe neighbourhood, near Belleville/Goncourt… and rumour has it they’re absolutely delighted with them.
Happy staff aren’t just 30 per cent more productive; they’re also men and women who are fully committed and better able to champion our values to our clients and partners.
Conclusion
It’s an understatement to say that 2018 was another busy year for Quable – and what a brilliant year it was! Whilst it’s good to look back on how far we’ve come, we must also, and above all, look to the future and set concrete objectives to keep moving forward. In 2019, therefore, Quable is setting itself new, ambitious goals. We will strengthen our partner network to offer our clients an ever more comprehensive experience. We will further enhance our PIM solution so that it is as sophisticated as possible, making the work of marketing teams even easier. Finally, and most importantly, we’re setting out to conquer the world! Building on five years’ experience in France, Quable is now expanding internationally and aims to enter new markets. So, shall we meet again in a year’s time to take stock of this new adventure?
