Calculated Attribute

A calculated attribute is product data generated automatically from other existing information, using predefined rules or formulas. For example, price per kilo can be calculated from unit price and weight, or an average rating can be derived from customer reviews.

Calculated attributes simplify catalog management by avoiding repetitive manual entry. In a PIM, they help enrich and keep product pages up to date without human intervention, ensuring data consistency and accuracy. They are especially useful for marketplaces and digital channels, where product information quality is critical for conversion.
