Normalization
What Is Data Normalization?
Data normalization involves structuring and standardizing information according to shared rules and formats, in order to ensure its consistency and interoperability.
In an e-commerce or marketing context, this practice is essential for harmonizing product data (attributes, descriptions, images) across different channels (website, marketplaces, ERP). It facilitates data integration into tools such as PIM, reduces errors, and improves the customer experience by ensuring clear, standardized information.
Normalization is also a lever for optimizing business processes, such as catalog management or the analysis of commercial performance.
