Product Hierarchy

A product hierarchy is an organised structure that classifies catalogue items into logical levels (family, category, subcategory, etc.). It streamlines product data management and optimises its commercial and marketing use.

In e-commerce, a well-designed product hierarchy improves the customer experience by simplifying navigation and making search more relevant. It also makes it easier to segment products for targeted campaigns and lets data teams structure information in a PIM (Product Information Management).
