Background

Sames specializes in equipment and services for the application of liquid and powder paints, adhesives and sealants to protect and embellish surfaces. In an international context, with a varied offering and content distributed via several channels, managing product information was a real challenge.

To optimize product visibility, improve data management and standardize information distribution, Sames chose Quable PIM as its central information management solution. The integration of the PIM was carried out with the expertise of Axome, who supported Sames throughout all phases of the project: construction of the Data Model with range managers, integration with existing tools, data migration, implementation of workflows and team training.

Product information was stored in several different tools (ERP, CMS, R&D tools, PPT documents, catalogs), making management tedious and fostering data discrepancies between different media.

The absence of a single repository led to duplication of tasks (data entry, updating and manual translation across multiple media) and a lack of visibility across all products.

Gaps in data reporting

Product information varied from one medium to another (showcase site, catalogs, print product sheets), which undermined the consistency and reliability of data for customers and partners.
