In 2015, the ready-to-wear brand Jennyfer completed the roll-out of Quable’s PIM. Vincent Desreumaux, Jennyfer’s IT and Digital Director, looks back on a strategic decision that has enabled the brand to reduce its ‘time to market’.
Jennyfer, a ready-to-wear brand for ‘young fashion’.
The brand has over 400 shops and 2,000 employees. It sells more than 10,000 product lines a year, with a constantly evolving catalogue. Before being published on the website (Demandware), a product must pass through four departments: purchasing, the photography studio and marketing, before reaching the e-commerce team. Until then, Jennyfer had been using Excel spreadsheets to manage this workflow: this wasn’t working, and some products regularly fell through the cracks – they were simply not photographed.
The quest for performance.
Jennyfer therefore wanted to implement a tool that would centralise all product data via a platform accessible to all relevant departments. It was with this objective in mind that Jennyfer approached Quable and adopted its SaaS-based PIM solution. Quable’s PIM (Product Information Management) was implemented in three months: All the relevant departments, as well as the ERP system, the intranet and – of course – the website (Demandware) integrated seamlessly, without requiring a significant investment of time from Jennyfer’s IT department.
Quable carried out the preliminary studies, provided the functional recommendations and oversaw the implementation of the PIM.
“Everyone now knows what they have to do and has the tool to do it. Time to market has now fallen from 7 days to 24 hours,” says Vincent Desreumaux.
